Air Brake Course


2016-02-18_1245Learn the basic principals in the operation of air brakes in order to write the provincial certification exam. This interactive classroom instruction includes 11 hours of theory utilizing a demonstration brake component board and hands on foundation brake plus 4 hours of practical hands on training and testing on an air brake equipped vehicle, or your own air brake equipped vehicle if requested.

4-hours is held on the second day and times are “arranged in the classroom”. These 4 hours include the pre-trip practical test. Upon successful completion you’ll receive a form to take to ICBC who will charge a fee for the provincial computer touch screen exam consisting of 25 questions plus an additional fee to replace your Drivers License to include the Air Brake endorsement.

* Meets or exceeds ministry requirements for certification.

Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Lunch will be on your own – there are restaurants close by).

Location of Training: Camosun Coastal Centre – 100 Maplebank Rd., Esquimalt BC V9A 4M1 turn off Admirals Rd on to Maplebank and follow the signs to the bottom of the hill.

Registration, Cancellation and Refund Policies; course fees are due upon registration please call to pay by VISA or MasterCard or etransfers can be sent to info@roadmasters.ca   Employer or sponsoring agencies need to contact our office for invoicing details.  A refund less bank service fee is provided up to 5 calendar days prior to the start date of the course; no refunds are provided after this date.  Pre-registration ensures a minimum enrolment is met to determine if the course will proceed.  When a course fails to reach this minimum we reluctantly must cancel it.  Please notify our office of any changes at 250-383-6041 you can leave a message.  Roadmasters Safety Group Inc. reserves the right to modify or cancel any program, course,  or objective without notice or prejudice.  This would only take place in an emergency
